A Retro-Futurist Marvel

This is where an old-school noir thriller unfolds, complete with tough private detectives and bad guys wielding state-of-the-art laser-particle firearms. The title Ray Gunn hints at the protagonist's name and perhaps a nod to 1980s Republican politics, adding layers of intrigue.

Characters and Voice Acting

Sam Rockwell voices Raymond Gunn, an ex-cop turned gumshoe who left the force after covering up for a female detective. The cast includes careworn cops, cynical club owners, and alluring shady ladies reminiscent of Lana Turner and Veronica Lake.

The airborne automobiles have the bulbous lines of a previous century, and TV monitors show black-and-white images—plasma flatscreens have evidently been disinvented. This attention to detail creates a cohesive and immersive world.
