Guglielmo Vicario, Tottenham's first-choice goalkeeper, is set to join Juventus on an initial loan deal, with the Italian giants holding an option to make the move permanent for £8.6m. The 29-year-old Italy international has lost his starting spot under Roberto De Zerbi to Antonin Kinsky, prompting his departure from north London.
Vicario's Tottenham Exit and Juventus Move
Juventus had been linked with Aston Villa's Emiliano Martínez, but after seeing a €10m offer rejected, they switched their attention to Vicario. The Argentina goalkeeper is currently sidelined with a finger injury, making Vicario a more viable option. The loan agreement includes a buy option, and Vicario is expected to compete for the No. 1 jersey in Turin.

Vicario joined Tottenham in 2023 for £17.2m and has made nearly 120 appearances. His departure is part of a significant squad overhaul at Spurs, with Cristian Romero, Djed Spence, Will Lankshear, and Yves Bissouma already leaving this summer. Pape Matar Sarr is also attracting interest from Everton and Nottingham Forest, with a £30m valuation.
Spurs' Summer Spending and Incoming Targets
Tottenham have spent over £200m on six new players this window, and De Zerbi is keen to strengthen further. The club is reportedly interested in Manchester City's Savinho, who was left out of the Community Shield squad, and Liverpool's Cody Gakpo. These moves signal a clear intent to rebuild the squad for a title challenge.
